Zen Valley Lodge | Fire Pit, Hammocks + Game Room

Welcome to Zen Valley Lodge, a private three-bedroom home in the heart of Fort Valley, set up for rest and quiet. Read in a hammock between the pines, warm up by the electric fireplace, or end the day around the fire pit on the lawn. Three tree-themed king bedrooms in calming colors make for easy, restful nights. No neighbors are in view, so the quiet is yours, with outdoor hiking and other adventures nearby.

Zen Valley Lodge sleeps six across three bedrooms, with two full bathrooms and two living rooms on a single level. Here's how you'll spend your time:

🍽️ Gather
The main living room is an easy place to settle in, with an electric fireplace set into a wood-slat wall, a leather sofa and armchairs, a smart TV, and a pair of acoustic guitars by the window. It opens to the dining table and a bright kitchen with a butcher-block island, stainless appliances, and a coffee bar with a Keurig and teas. When the group wants a little fun, the second living room in the converted garage has a sectional, a second TV, and a card table with room for everyone.

🛏️ Rest
Each bedroom takes its theme from the trees of the valley, in soft, calming colors chosen for rest, and each has a king bed. The primary has a misty forest mural, a TV, and its own bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower. The second bedroom pairs a birch-branch wall with warm rust and caramel bedding, and the third has a black-and-white branch mural and a TV. The second full bathroom sits off the hall and has a tub and shower.

🌙 Unwind
This is where Zen Valley Lodge lives up to its name. Start the morning with coffee on the covered front porch, from an Adirondack chair or the daybed. Spend the afternoon in a hammock strung between the pines or on the back deck, with an umbrella-shaded lounge and a propane fire table. The outdoor kitchen and Blackstone griddle are a few steps away for dinner, and evenings end around the wood-burning fire pit on the lawn, with firewood provided. With no neighbors in view, it’s easy to let the day go quiet.

🍷 Explore
When you’re ready to venture out, trails into the George Washington National Forest start close by, and horseback riding, wineries, and the towns of the Shenandoah Valley are an easy drive. The north entrance of Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive, Main Street in Front Royal, and Woodstock are each about 30 minutes away.

Fort Valley is one of the more remote corners of the Shenandoah Valley, so it helps to plan ahead for groceries. The Fort Valley Country Store is less than 5 minutes away, with a great deli and the basics for anything you need in a pinch. For a full grocery run, Woodstock has Food Lion and Walmart about 30 minutes away, and Martin’s in Front Royal is 25 to 30 minutes away. We recommend stopping on your way in. Several same-day delivery apps also service the area for grocery delivery.

Guests have access to the entire home, including both living rooms, the deck, fire pit, and hammocks. Guests do not have access to the garage building or a few small locked storage spaces.
